Layout, art, feed…

Friday, November 3rd, 2006

I’ve updated a lot! First of all, I’ve added/deleted some more art in my gallery. I’m not completely done (though I suppose I never really will be); more minor changes/additions will be made in each gallery appearance. I’ve updated a few images with higher quality versions. Previously, I have been uncertain: should I sacrifice image quality for fast-loading pieces, or put up larger pieces with the risk of downloading? It’s a loaded concern and I have spent so long worrying that I haven’t spent enough time dealing with it. :) Some of the images that I’ve spent some time on are now larger, and I’ll compromise by adding detail shots. There are inherent risks with sharing art online to begin with- might as well really go for it!

Next, you can now subscribe to my RSS feed. This is a very self-explanatory feature. My goal is simple: if at least one person finds it useful, I’ll be happy! It’s such a useful tool. Truthfully, I can’t see how exciting it would be to update to my feed…but it won’t take up much space, and the option is there. :)

Further concerning updates, archives are also now available! I’ve restarted my archives and I’m very happy with the organization.

The most notable change is the site layout. The previous rendition was close to the ideas in my head, but not quite what I sketched out. So I made this and I like it better.

Here are some previews of some paintings I’m working on!

I’ve also changed some content in the information and art sections. Subscribing to the feed will be the most efficient way to receive any future notable updates. Please feel free to send me any feedback.
